Cook: 15 minutes
Servings: 20 Veal Meatballs

– 300g ground veal
-150g of ground veal-pork mixture
-1 finely chopped onion
-1 clove of garlic chopped
-20g of almond powder
-40g grated parmesan
-1 egg
-1 slice of sandwich bread + a little milk
-2 tsp Italian spice blend
-600g tomato sauce
-salt pepper
-olive oil

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large frying pan or sauté pan, brown the onion for a few minutes with the chopped garlic and a teaspoon of Italian spices. Reserve.

In a salad bowl, mix the meats with the parmesan, the almond powder, the white bread soaked in milk, the egg as well as the onion, a little salt and pepper. Mix well then form balls between your slightly damp hands.

Brown the meatballs over medium/high heat in the pan used to cook the onion, with a little olive oil, regularly “roll” the meatballs on themselves to brown all sides.

In a baking dish, pour the tomato sauce in which you have mixed a teaspoon of Italian spices, arrange the meatballs then finish cooking in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the meatballs. Serve with pasta!
